German and Ysmael arrived in Polk County in the mid 2000s from Venezuela to study at Webber International University in Babson Park — a few miles from where EZ AUTO stands today. Like most young immigrants, they came with ambition and not much else. No credit history. No co-signer. And when they needed a car to get to work, to class, to build a life — every dealer turned them away. Not because they weren't reliable. Because a number on a piece of paper said they were a risk.
So we built the dealership we wish had existed for us. A place where your income matters more than your credit score. Where the staff speaks your language — literally. Where a handshake means something and the person who approves you is the same person you call if you ever have a question.
Every car on our lot is a Japanese vehicle — Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Mazda — chosen because they last. Every single one goes through our own shop before it touches the lot. Every one leaves with a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty. We don't sell flash. We sell certainty. Because our customers can't afford a car that lets them down — and we've built our entire operation around making sure that never happens.
We also report every on-time payment to all three credit bureaus — because this isn't just a car loan. For most of our customers, it's the beginning of something bigger. A credit history. A better rate next time. A future that looks different than the past. EZ AUTO opened in 2017 with one lot in Lakeland. Florida has millions of people who deserve exactly this — and we're not done until they all have a place to go.
